Ultravox Pricing Explained (2026): $0.05 a Minute, and What Else You Pay
Ultravox charges one flat rate for every minute an agent is on a call: $0.05, with its speech-native model and built-in voices included and no surge pricing. Your first 30 minutes are free. Pay as you go has no monthly fee; Pro is $100 a month and removes the cap on simultaneous calls. Every figure below is from ultravox.ai/pricing and Ultravox's docs, read October 24, 2026.
Ultravox is the simplest bill in voice AI: one flat rate covers the model and the voice. The two things to plan for are your phone line, which your carrier bills, and the 5-call limit on Pay as you go.
Ultravox charges a flat $0.05 a minute with the model and built-in voices included. Here's what's in an Ultravox minute, what 500 to 10,000 minutes a month cost on Pay as you go and Pro, when the $100 Pro plan is worth it, and the SIP, carrier and billing rules that change the total.
What you pay for on every Ultravox minute
Ultravox call time
$0.05/min
Covers the Ultravox speech-native model and its built-in voices, on Pay as you go and Pro. Billed per 6 seconds ($0.005 each), and Ultravox's docs say calls are rounded up to the next 6 seconds.
Voice
Included
Built-in voices cost nothing extra. If you bring your own ElevenLabs, Cartesia or other text-to-speech key, that provider bills you directly for the voice.
Ultravox SIP
$0–$0.005/min
Only for calls over Ultravox's SIP connection: 0.5¢ a minute on Pay as you go, 0.48¢ on Pro. Not listed for calls through its Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo or Exotel integrations.
Phone number and carrier minutes
Your carrier's rate
Ultravox's pricing page lists no phone numbers. The number and its per-minute charges come from your own carrier (Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo or Exotel) or your SIP provider, billed by them.
Total per minute
about 5.0¢ to 5.5¢
Ultravox's own charges only. Your carrier's number and minutes, and any outside voice, come on top.

Ultravox's listed rates: $0.05 a minute on both plans, plus 0.5¢ (Pay as you go) or 0.48¢ (Pro) a minute if calls come in over Ultravox SIP. The rows leave out the one-time 30 free minutes, your carrier's charges and any outside voice. Pro only saves 0.02¢ a minute on SIP, so you pay its $100 for the limits (no hard cap on simultaneous calls, more voices and knowledge bases), not the price. Want your own volume and carrier? Packages and add-ons
Pay as you go
$0/month
30 free minutes, then $0.05/min. No surge pricing, unlimited free playground calls in the web console, up to 5 calls at once (a hard cap), 1 custom voice clone and 2 knowledge bases (Ultravox calls them corpora). SIP 0.5¢/min.
Pro
$100/month
Everything in Pay as you go plus no hard cap on simultaneous calls, the Outbound Call Scheduler, 5 custom voices, 20 knowledge bases and a response SLA. Same $0.05/min; SIP 0.48¢/min. Billed at the start of each period.
Enterprise
Custom
Custom per-minute and SIP pricing, priority concurrent calls, org support and a priority SLA. Ultravox's docs say BAAs for HIPAA work and automatic call-data deletion are on Enterprise.
Threads
$2 / $15 per 1M tokens
Only if you use Threads, Ultravox's background agent conversations that run alongside a call: $2.00 per million uncached input tokens and $15.00 per million output tokens, with cached input free. A normal call doesn't use them.
Billing rules (Ultravox docs)
Monthly, in arrears
Calls and SIP are invoiced monthly for the month before. You may be billed early once usage passes $10 on Pay as you go or $100 on Pro. Billed time runs for the whole call, so it can be a few seconds longer than the recording.

What to check before you choose
- Plan your phone line first. Ultravox's $0.05 doesn't include a phone number: you connect Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo or Exotel, or your own system over SIP, and that carrier bills its own rates. Our Twilio, Telnyx and Plivo pricing guides (linked below) have those numbers.
- Count your busiest hour, not your monthly minutes. Pay as you go stops at 5 calls at once. If six people could call at the same moment, you need Pro ($100 a month) or Enterprise. Even on Pro, Ultravox's docs say it may return a "too many requests" error under extreme load unless you have Enterprise priority concurrency.
- Short calls round up a little. Ultravox bills in 6-second steps, so a 37-second call is billed as 42 seconds ($0.035). On thousands of short calls that adds a few percent.
- Test for free first. Calls in the Ultravox web console's playground are free and unlimited, so you can tune your agent before spending the 30 free phone minutes.
- Healthcare? Ultravox's docs say it signs BAAs on Enterprise only, and suggest building with non-patient data first. Retell includes a self-signed BAA on pay as you go; Vapi lists HIPAA as a $2,000 a month add-on.
- Compare whole minutes. Vapi is $0.05 a minute for hosting plus the models you pick, Retell is $0.07 to $0.31 a minute, Bland AI's Start plan is $0.14 a minute and ElevenLabs Agents is $0.08 a minute plus the LLM. On Cozzo's October 20 phone calls Ultravox replied in a median 1.18 seconds over 11 calls, and our whole Ultravox test cost about $0.24 beyond the free minutes.
